Why a halal label is only the start of the decision
Amanah separates the public status label from the evidence behind it, so users can see whether a branch is Halal Certified, Halal Restaurant Claimed, Community Confirmed, Community Suggested or Halal Status Unknown.
Claims need source and scope
A restaurant can have halal information for several different reasons: certification evidence, a restaurant or menu claim, or reviewed community confirmations. Those signals are useful, but they do not mean the same thing.
Amanah keeps the source visible so diners can see whether the information applies to a specific branch, a whole chain, the entire menu, selected meats or selected dishes.
Evidence ages
Halal evidence should not be frozen forever. Menus, suppliers, ownership and staff knowledge can change, so evidence needs a freshness date and a reason to be trusted today.
When evidence is old, conflicting or incomplete, Amanah should say that plainly. Halal Status Unknown is an honest data state, not a negative judgement.
