How verification works

Halal evidence should explain itself.

Amanah does not reduce every restaurant to a careless yes or no. It separates verification source, menu coverage, preparation facts, branch scope, recency and conflicts, then shows the evidence in plain language.

Evidence supports one public profile.

Each source keeps its own meaning. A community confirmation, restaurant claim and certification record should never be blurred into one vague badge.

Public status labels

A label explains why Amanah is showing a halal claim. Coverage is separate: the claim may apply to the whole menu, selected meats or selected dishes.

Halal Certified

Used only when certification evidence, branch match, expiry and scope are clear.

Restaurant Claimed

The restaurant or its official menu/website claims halal food is available, but Amanah has not verified a restaurant-level certificate.

Community Confirmed

Three or more qualifying reviewed community sources support the claim.

Community Suggested

One or two qualifying sources suggest halal food may be available, but the threshold has not been reached.

Halal Status Unknown

Not a negative claim; Amanah simply does not have enough reliable evidence yet.

Not Halal

Used only when strong reviewed evidence supports a public negative status.

Previously Halal

Used when older halal evidence exists but current status is no longer supported.

Gather

Collect available evidence for a specific branch.

Separate

Keep source, coverage, alcohol, pork and preparation details distinct.

Expire

Flag stale evidence for review instead of pretending it is current.
